Front Speaker Gasket
1988-1991 Mitsubishi Montero Gen1
Description
I had previously upgraded and enlarged the front OEM speakers in the dash of my 1988 Mitsubishi Montero. Still disappointed with poor sound quality I investigated and found that the speaker cone was hitting the dash and creating distortion. I designed a gasket to sandwich between the speaker and dash and it has really improved the sound performance. Additionally it decreases speaker/dash vibrations and will also help visually conceal speakers with wacky colors that might not want to notice. The speakers I am using are Rockford Fosgate R142 Prime Series 2 Way 4" 100 Watt, this gasket might also fit other 4" speakers brands. Early Gen1 trucks have a different shaped speaker so this will not work on those. For a successful part you need to print with a TPU material within following settings: Wall Loops: 9 Top Shell layers: 0 Bottom Shell Layers: 0 Sparse Infill Density: 45% Sparse Infill Pattern: Honeycomb
