Description

This little thing is a replacement for a missing button in the center console and should fit most BMWs around the year 2000. The pre-owner destroyed the existing one by putting a microphone from an Android radio into it. If you had the same idea, stop it! Sound quality sucks. However I repositioned the microphone to a better place and got left with a button cover with an ugly hole in it. So I took measures and printed a perfectly fitting replacement. I have it in my pre-facelift BMW 328i E46. Please comment if you have a different car and it fits! Possible fit: BMW E28, E39, E46 and the first Z4, X3 and X5. Although it works fine with any non-flexible filament I highly recommend using PETG or ABS, some material that resists heat a little more. My first variant made of PLA+ didn't survive the first summer... Of course you can take this design for a remix if you have a cool idea what to put there instead. Don't forget to post it to Thingiverse! I added one variant which can store an Apple AirTag so it's hidden.
