Sunvisor Stopper
2007 Kia Sportage
Description
Edit: Updated to V3, small changes to fit better the arm of sun visor. Added additional versions that features a slot for M3 35mm bolt for extra rigidity (Even with PETG, in hot days, the little arm still wraps and bends from the sun visors weight). I now use the slim version with the M3 bolt for structural resistance and seems to work fine. Minor note: Heat the bolt prior screw it in to avoid layer separation. A common problem with 2007 Kia Sportage's Sun visor is that the tensioning system fails over time and the Visor falls down, usually at an uncomfortable level. Because my sun visor would not stay closed, I decided to make to make a clip that keeps it closed. This is my second version, and should hold better even if temperature warping occurs. NOTE: Use materials that are UV and Heat resistant (eg. ASA)
Print Instructions
Printer: ET4 pro Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 100 Filament: Generic PETG PETG Black Notes: In my case I had only 25% infill, and forced 100% infill on the "arm" that actually holds the thing in place to make it more rigid and less prone to bending.
