Description

Somehow I lost one of the headlight access covers to my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2. Someone on Jeep Garage suggested that someone should 3D print it, which is a good idea, so I designed this one to keep water and other stuff away from my headlights. I heard that these are discontinued from Mopar, so I thought I'd put this model up for anyone that needs a replacement. I've used them for a couple months now with no issue. I don't really know what these are actually called, so if you know, let me know, and I'll post the name so that more people can find it. Make sure that the diameter is about 145mm, that size fits perfectly on my 2014 WK2. You shouldn't need any supports but they can be added around the outside pretty easily. I printed this on an AnyCubic Kobra Max in matte black, but maybe you can print to match your body color. These are the general settings I used, and it comes out a little heavier than the stock piece, I compared it to the one I had left, if you care about that you can reduce the infill. Layer Height: 0.2mm Number of walls: 6 Infill: 20% Diameter of model: 145mm I used a Skirt for Build Plate Adhesion, but if you're having trouble use a Brim, it won't affect the overall print. I did not use supports and it still printed very well.
