Description
Update: 1. Changes to top hook to improve stability. 2. Platform angled down slightly. 3. Pad printed with TPU added. Attached to base with double face tape. 4. Printed with Polymaker HT-PLA-GF Filament to eliminate warping in hot vehicle. My daily driver is a 2021 Ford Ranger. When driving long distances, I tend to rest my elbow on the top of the door panel. This is a poor ergonomic position as it raises my arm almost to the level of my shoulder. The auxiliary armrest supports the elbow while lowering and bringing the arm in to a comfortable position. The armrest hooks over the door panel. Two 1"x1" Velcro tabs keep the armrest from being accidentally dislodged. UPDATE: This past weekend we took the first long trip, 400 miles, with the armrest. The drive was far more comfortable that past trips. I wish I had thought of this 36,000 miles ago.
