Frequently Asked Questions
How long does moderation take?
Most parts are reviewed within 48 hours. Complex parts or high-volume periods may take longer. You'll receive an email when your part is approved or if changes are needed.
Can I appeal a rejection?
Yes. Email support@3dcarparts.org with additional context or corrections. We'll re-review and explain our final decision.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Your profile is removed immediately. Uploaded parts can be transferred to anonymous or deleted entirely - you choose during account deletion.
Do you share my information with third parties?
No. We don't sell or share personal data. The only exceptions are payment processing (Stripe) and email delivery (SendGrid), which are necessary for platform operation.
How do I report a problematic part?
Use the "Report" button on any part page, or email support@3dcarparts.org with the part URL and your concern.
Are my uploads backed up?
Yes. All files are stored redundantly with automatic backups. In rare cases of data loss, we can restore from recent backups.
