Belt Line Trim Clip
1960 Chevrolet Corvair
Description
This is a trim clip for the front and rear belt line trim on a 1960 Chevrolet Corvair. It slides into the chrome rail and then the screw gets inserted from inside the front trunk/rear deck to hold the trim in place. Original replacements are hard to find, so I made this. I have not tested it out yet, but the measurements check out. I will update this post with pictures when I do test it. I made the screw hole relatively small to allow for more screw options. This can be easily tapped or drilled out to allow for a bigger screw if needed. Update 3/23/23: Fixed dimensions to fit better, made screw hold bigger (5mm diameter), added a curve to fit the body panel better.
