Window Switch Panel Strengthener
1985 Porsche 944
Description
This is a repair patch for damaged door card on a later model 944 (1985, oval dash onwards), for where the window switch panel screws in. If the existing spire nuts are removed and fitted directly to this, it can then be slotted through the window switch aperture, temporarily (or permanently!) held in place with double sided sticky tape or glue, and the switch panel screwed through the door card, into this. Saves the "droopy switch panel" look, and it can be draughty too! Recommend ABS or PET G - Not sure how long PLA would hold up for. I used ABS, and I think at 0.35mm layer height, on a Prusa i3 Mk3. No support necessary. Designed for a right hand drive car, suggest mirroring for lhd car. Not sure if it would work for the passenger switch - probably, but mine is fine so haven't needed to try it.
