Description

Trunk door rubbers/seals for Nissan 200SX S13. When fitting the rubbers, the trunk door should sit flush with the chassis once closed. Note: If necessary, adjust the height of the lock (2 nuts) until it closes without effort and opens with just one turn of the key without having to hold it. If the lock cannot be adjusted to open at a touch — and in some cases the trunk light stays on — it is very common for this to be caused by a nylon component inside the lock mechanism which disintegrates with age. The solution is: after removing the remains, clean and lubricate the area with lithium grease, then place a small piece of rubber inside the lock mechanism, which can be easily manipulated with pliers or a fine screwdriver to position it. In my case I cut a piece approximately 20x20mm from an old coolant hose. Afterwards, re-adjust the lock with the two nuts.
