Battery Hold Down

Description

This is a quick and dirty battery hold-down design that I made recently for my 1994 Lexus SC400 which didn't come with one when I bought it. This hold-down is designed to work with group 27F size batteries (although YMMV since some batteries are larger than others. Spacers can be used to make it fit larger batteries if needed). I also used the 8" j-bolts shown in the photo gallery for the battery tray side, although the hook part needed some bending to go into the hole on the SC's battery tray. I printed this with supports enabled on my Ender 3 V3 SE with a failing mainboard, so my print came out pretty poorly in PETG. I recommend printing it on its side so that the layer lines are less likely to separate when tightening the bolts. As a sidenote as well, I would also recommend using ABS to print this, as engine bays can get very hot, I will run this for a few months on PETG and update to see if it's held up at all.
