1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler
Description
Lost the ashtray years ago on my wife's Wrangler. Was doing a refresh of the interior parts (yay heat gun and Vinylex) and decided to put my printer to a "productive" use. Update 06.20.16: I adjusted the hinge pieces to fit. I used a wad of tack-it to keep the top closed. So far it's holding up to the 100+ temps here. Didn't realize the previous .stl file was v2f, but v2a is the current iteration, with the hinge pieces in the correct place. A couple of caveats... 1) My first design with 123Design, so it was a learning project for sure. 2) The extrusions designed to fit over the hinges actually miss the mark, but they're close enough to the hinge that it actually holds it in place. The top of the extrusion ends up right below the hinge. 3) Originally I was going to add an extrusion that would latch to the metal piece in the cavity that the ashtray usually snaps into, but opted it was unnecessary (see caveat #2).
