Speaker Mounts
1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ
Description
This part is a spacer/mount for a 4" x 6" spreaker that mounts in the left and right sides of a 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ dash. My original speakers were poorly rigged with this pieces of metal and the factory screws, and even then, it did not allow the cover to be put on easily without bending the speaker mounts and pushing the cover out. The 3d printed pieces allow the covers to be put on flush as shown by the last picture and hold the speakers firmly in place (and consequently took out some of the rattle in the dash). The speaker mounting holes may be changeable, I have not tried to redownload it and to change them for other speakers. I am also not sure if it fits any other years or models because it was designed to fit my personal Jeep. This part is my first original design after searching all over for similar parts on Thingiverse, only to find that none matched what I needed.
