Description
A multimedia compartment designed for the Renault Megane 2. The cup holder section was designed based on measurements taken from the rear passenger cup holder of VW MK4 Golf, Bora, and Jetta vehicles. Since the new-generation Megane 2 multimedia units are positioned at the top, and on some CAN bus connections the clock socket is also connected, the clock space becomes unused — this design was produced as an alternative solution. This design mounts onto the old double-DIN radio frame, and since the clips are not sufficient, the two pieces are joined together using plastic welding. Additionally, the charging section accommodates 2 Type-C charging outputs and 2 USB ports coming from the multimedia unit.
