Headlight Low Beam Dust Cover
2004 Renault Megane II Phase 1
Description
I decided to replace halogen low beam lamps to LED Decker LED GL-01 6K H7 in my Renault Megane 2 2004 ph1. The original cover isn't deep enough to fit the longer LED lamp and its controller box. So, I needed a custom cover. I coudn't find 3d model exactly of my cover type with three clips. There were only the one with four clips and larger diameter. Probably from restaling model. After a few prototypes, I modeled a cover that pretty easy to 3d print and fits well on its place. And it's deep enough to cover the wires and the box. One should be careful while locking the cover because there's a chanse that a wire gets on a clip's way and with enough force may be damaged. So, pay attention to the wires during locking the cover. The total heigth of the 3d printed cover is 50 mm. And in my car model there's enough spase behind the cover to freely fit the deeper one. But there may be no always enough behind spase in other car models. I used FreeCAD 1.0.2 to model it.
