Description

Disclaimer: I don't have the model for the brackets on the back. This was originally a remix but it seems like the original model is not on Thingiverse anymore. Please make me aware of it, if its still online. I dont want to steal his stuff and not credit him. The model is for a 350Z pre facelift interior, no idea how this fits in the facelift interior. You can melt in some thread inserts in the holes, then mount a screen. The mounting is somewhat whacky, you will have to find your own solution. I did some bracket out of scrap acrylic glass pieces, which I have molten into shape, then drilled some holes. The fitment is nowhere near perfect, but it works. You can search for a screen on Aliexpress, pretty much any 7 inch screen that shows a Raspberry Pi on its back and has mounting holes in all 4 corners should fit. I attached a sample picture. I am using a Raspberry Pi with OpenAutoPro, though thats discontinued at this moment. You can search for alternatives, though I have found none. For power delivery, I used this PCB: https://www.tindie.com/products/picotouch/raspberry-pi-automatic-onoff-v30-new-version/ . But thats also not being sold right now, you might find an alternative or just build it on your own with a 12V Relay. Honest to god, I cannot find the STL for those white arms I have on my model. You need those to attach the screen holder to the center console. I dont know why I dont have them anymore, I really must have deleted them since this project is 2 years back now. You can fabricate your own arms pretty easily with some acrylic glass. Just cut it to size and heat it with a lighter, then bend it to shape, then drill some holes in it. Or design your own arms, but that's quite some work. Also I wanted to upload the .step file but it's bigger than 600mb and it just won't upload to thingiverse, not even after letting it sit for 2 hours.
