Description

Block off models for the N52 AC Compressor as well as the lines going into the cabin for a 2006 E90 330i. I included an o-ring and a no o-ring variant of each block off so you can use choose to use each of them as a temporary or a permanent block off. I have made the o-ring variants such that you should be able to use the o-rings off of the stock AC hard lines to fully seal off the systems. I printed these on a Bambu P1S with a 4mm extruder and 100% infill using ABS filament. If you want temporary blocks offs, PLA is fine, but if you intend to actually run them in your car, the engine bay will get hot and potentially melt a weaker plastic and can cause unwanted issues. If you are going to run the AC Compressor block offs in the car, it is critical that you put a heat shield over the printed parts otherwise they are definitely going to melt everywhere as the AC Compressor sits right underneath the hot exhaust headers on the N52. I grabbed an old piece of underbody heat shield from a part out E90, drilled a hole in it to pass a bolt through it and the block off into the compressor, and cut and bent the shield into place so it wouldn't melt. I have ran it on my '06 E90 at a couple drift events with no issues, and the engine bay was getting extremely hot on those days. I am aware most people won't bother with the AC Compressor ports, but for folks like me who want to remove dead weight but cannot find an appropriate AC delete belt, this is an okay interim solution.
