Description

This model provides a 3D printed hold down mechanism for the Antigravity H5/Group 47 Lithium Car Battery in a 2008 Lotus Elise SC. It also fits a Bosch H5-650B lead acid battery, which is likely now obsolete. The Antigravity H5/Group 47 Lithium Car Battery is a 12 volt battery that is the same size as a standard H5 or Group 47 car battery, but weighs just 14.25 pounds and delivers 1500 cranking amps. However, even though this reduced the weight of a lead acid battery (weighing over 33 lbs), the OEM Lotus Elise hold down clamp may not retain a H5/Group 47 battery securely. Note that the Lotus Elise is a hand-build car and the attachment points might vary from car to car. No guarantee is made that the clamps will line up with the boltholes on all cars. The clamp components are printed in ABS. However, the band loop to secure the end of the tie down is printed in TPU. The cap screws are M5x50 with stainless lock nuts. The tie-down strap is modified by cutting off one hook with a hacksaw and then shortening the strap.
