Description
A critical flaw in the interior design of the fourth-generation Dodge 1500 is how easy it is to accidentally lock yourself out. If you hop out of the truck, steady yourself on the door, and accidentally hit the lock button with your elbow, you’re in trouble. If you’re not paying attention and close the door—you’re hooped. I speak from experience. In my neck of the woods, locking yourself out of your truck in winter can be a death sentence if you're far from a major highway. So, I put my two remaining brain cells to work and designed this lock shroud to ensure it never happens to me again—and maybe save you from the same fate. The height of the print ensures that the backlit lock/unlock buttons remain visible from an average driving position. Print with tree supports from baseplate to support the overhang, infill it to 100 percent its only 9g.
