H11 Bulb Wrench
2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Description
Supermate91's bulb wrench did the trick. It turned a 1 hour failure into a 5 minute successful changing of the bulb. When using it, I noticed the wings flexed and I was worried they may break. They did not. But I decided to modify it anyway. In the words of Tim the Toolman, let's beef it up. I did three iterations off the original idea. 1. same general design as original but made horizonal wall thicker 2. Version to work with a 3/8 socket wrench. Have not actually tried it but it should fit based on holding a wrench in place before I put things back together after using the original tool. 3. Like my socket version but with a handle. As Supermate91 suggest, you should consider tying a string to it and to your wrist in case you drop it inside the light enclsoure or down into the engine compartment. (I would print it out of something easy to see and not the black that I used.) .Any layer height should work and fill of 15% and higher. I printed it out of ABS but NYLON, PLA, PETG should work fine. WARNING: IF YOU USE THE SOCKET VERSION USE A LIGHT TOUCH. IT ONLY TURNS A 1/4 TURN. DON'T GO OVERBOARD. I put mine back end by hand without the tool.
Print Instructions
Standard FDM printing settings: - Layer height: 0.2mm - Infill: 70% - Supports: As needed
