Front 6x9 Speaker Mount
2026 Chevrolet Equinox
Description
When upgrading the speakers on my 2026 Chevy Equinox I discovered that there were not any speaker mounts for the fronts (6x9). The recommended mounts to use with a 2025 equinox were about 15mm too tall and wouldn't allow the door panel to be reinstalled. So I banged together this mount using tinkercad. It's not the prettiest or the best, but it did the job quite nicely. The mounting holes for the speaker aren't perfect, but for mine I was able to line up one pair of diagonal holes, then just punch a hole for the other two and drove the screw through it. Worked just fine. I recommend some foam tape on the back side of this mount (where it touches the metal car door) similar to what's on the factory speakers back side. Just a thin foam will be enough to prevent any wobbles/rattles. To print, flip it over so that the speaker mount side is on the build plate, and add supports for the two tongues on each end. I recommend 4-6 layers top and bottom and at least 4 walls for strength and durability. If you rotate it so that it goes corner-to-corner diagonally on the build plate, it will fit on a 10x10 plate (256mm square). It fit on my Bambu A1 but just barely. Like I said it's not perfect, but it does the job. Enjoy!
